for hosting us here. let's get our way to prosperity. oil, gas, coal, nuclears, all of the above. the obama administration is standing in the way of what could be an exciting explosion of energy. we have so much coal, so much oil and gas that we know how to get without harming the environment. this puts people to work, this creates manufacturing jobs. it helps people heat their homes warmer in the winter, coomer in the summer. that means people living on fixed income have more income to live on. this is important because with an energy policy like the keystone pipeline, like opening up our lands for development, we can put americans back to work and stop giving money overseas to the middle east. it helps our foreign policy, it helps our economy, it helps our pay checks. . remember, this is the end of the bush administration, early obama administration, the economy was bleeding jobs. 800,000 jobs a month at one point. spurt a growth, back down again. this is what the president says, no, it's not as robust as i would like, but look at this. look at this. since 2010 the economy has been adding jobs including 114,000 in september. that's what the president would say. governor romney says that's not enough. and with less regulation, lower taxes, other pro-business incentives you could create more. last month, health care jobs up, transportation jobs up. this one, wolf, in a report largely encouraging for the president, this is a bit discouraging, manufacturing jobs are down. if you look at the history of manufacturing in the obama presidency, again, you have the huge drop early on and a bit of a recovery since. but manufacturing jobs are still down from the beginning of the obama presidency. let me walk back over to this map for a second. that does matter in places like, the battleground states as well as anyone, ohio's a battleground, iowa's a battleground, in

in a second obama administration. he is very much looking forward to this. >> you have been pressing the romney campaign for specifics, today we got one specifics suggesting maybe there would be a cap on deductio at $17,000 for mortgage interest deductions, charitable contributions, that's a pretty specific number, what do you think about that? >> i think that the net result is still the same. that is specific, but he has not told us how he will do that without raising taxes on the middle class. even if you're capping deductions, separating them into different buckets with different caps on them. you're still raising taxes on the middle class. even his own economists that he relies on says you can't cut taxes by $5 trillion out paying for it by cutting deductions for people making $200,000 and less. that's just a fact. you can't do it. even if you close every single deduction for people making over $200,000, or $250,000 for families, you're still a trillion short. so he has to tell us how he will do this without increasing taxes on the middle class. so far the math does not add up. >
